Location
Located in a peaceful Hamlet, in the foothills of the Serra da Lousã, the rural location is within easy reach of local villages and towns. The village of Serpins is a five minute drive and has a post office, Multi Banco, small supermarket, local medical centre, variety of shops and cafes. Lousã is the closest town, which is a fifteen minute drive and can also be accessed by public transport from Serpins. It has all the facilities you would expect from a thriving market town, including banks, five supermarkets, pharmacies, health care facilities, a medical centre, bars, restaurants and shops. There is a good public transport link with Coimbra (Portugals third largest city), which consists of a regular bus service at present, but will be a brand new metro link in 2012. The city of Coimbra is a forty five minute drive away and the coast around an hour. Porto airport is approximately two hours to the north by road and Lisbon is two and a half hours to the south. Both have good road and rail links.
